Good Day

Good Day All

First of all, let me start of by wishing everyone a Happy New Year. All the best for the year 2008.

Nothing much to update expect the continuation of semester 2 for me which commences next week. Actually, I'm sort of a bit sian but also, part of me is looking forward to the school term starting.

I've been slacking at home everyday during my 3 weeks of holiday doing almost the same thing day after day.

Computer/Eat/Tv/Sleep

Well, with the start of the school term next week, I will most probaly be kept busy with school stuffs and of course handling the stress/pressure during school hours.

Which reminds me, I've always wanted to introduce this great Jap-Drama since last year but it kept slipping from my mind.

Wait, you might think " Chey, another Drama, mai zzz leh ".

I can assure you that personally I feel that this drama is worthwhile to glue yourself on your sits and watch it.

Drama's title is : Train Man or better known as Densha Otoko.

It's really an excellent drama in my opinion. It relfects on Japanese Otakus and their lives.

Basically, the storyline is, in Japan, there are these group of people being sterotyped as Otakus.
Otakus are guys who love anime/games. Hmm, sort of your everyday geek or nerd.

Anyway, the story reflects how this particular Otaku guy happens to meet this mega pretty lady in the train and how he wins her love. During the process, it really changed him alot.

Before you having thoughts that this is lame or whatsoever, it's based on a true story in Japan.

Many people tend to avoid people like Otakus/nerds whenever they see them and picturing the worst case scenario, make fun of them.

I now ask you, what's wrong with these people that makes you laugh at them ? They are your everyday normal guy with the exception that they have different interest, dress differently and think differently. Other than those mentioned, they're still normal people leading their lives.

What's wrong with enjoying playing games and watching animes? Please note that animes and cartoons are worlds apart. If you think it's lame, then please explain to me how is it lame?

It's lame because it's not the "in" thing to do?

It's lame because people will laugh at you?

It's lame because you just dislike it and hate it?

I've been sometimes told by my friends that it's lame that your're playing games again or watching anime again. I always tell them this

"What you see as lame might not be to me because we are different people with different mentatility"

I might like playing games/watching anime but I might not like your interests as well.

I'm just being myself that's all.

Not really emo or anything, just that I felt the need to get this off my shoulders.

Let's see......

Oh Yeah, Bw's gonna book-in next Tuesday. Wish you all the best in serving the country BW.
